Small Christian Community

High School Ministry (9th-12th Graders)

Small Christian Comunity
is a program for those teens seeking to be more involved as members of the parish community. It's the beggining of the devout life - a group of believers meeting together for spiritual growth, friendship, and adventure.

Whitewater Rafting High Ropes ropes course

The possibilities are endless, as you and your best friends challenge yourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually through high adventure activities such as challenge courses, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, and hiking.  Allowing ourselves to step out of our comfort zones lays the foundation for good communication and trust within the community.  This makes for a great environment to get know Jesus and His Church even better.

Current Communities...

St. Joan of Arc Community

Although just recently named, the St. Joan Community has been around for over a year now.  Comprised of teenagers in grades 10-12, this collective of young believers is the first SCC at Our Lady of Mercy.  They meet every Wednesday night for 4-6 weeks at a time in the convent basement.

St. Michael the Archangel Community

The St. Michael Community just began in September of 2007.  This group of 9th graders is looking to make their own legacy at OLM, picking up from what St. Joan's community has started and shaping events and traditions of their own.  They meet in the school cafeteria on Tuesday nights for series' of 4-6 weeks.
